Landmark is truly the victory of money over matter. Convenience over content and crap over contentment. This huge bookstore is what I call teh Times of India of Bookstore. Big, a wide variety of products from belts to biographies, movies to magazines and garish toys to games. It is also located in Forum Mall on Hosur Road - as good a location and any. Then why would I have an issue?. Fundamentally, it and its owners have not an iota of integrity. The place has sells books on discount, **however you check a lot of them you will see the discounted price is the MRP on the book while the so call original price is bumped up. The service is incredibly pathetic.
The max an illiterate sales person can do is try an figure if the author is on his system - if he can spell it. The books are clearly kitch and pulp bestsellers. I dont have a problem as I love pulp but bookstores are more. Like the Times of India, it mistakes customers simplicity for stupidity. People like to relax, like pulp and convenience. Buts especially with books htere is a time where every customer - once sated - wakes up and wants to enrich themselves.
Landmark is clear on enrichment but unfortunately its only for its owners.
