Dance Music in Bangalore

Title : Dance Music in India

Review : Hello, This is my second review and this time I would like to share my experiences about the dance music in Bangalore. If any of you guys out there in bangalore know what dance music is all about then probably I would think they could understand what I’m trying to say in my review. No offence, but I think and have seen that the Indian club generation tend to follow US culture a lot and hence they really don’t know much about dance music, on the controary, dance music is exploding in US.By dance music, I don’t mean commercial dance music, but rather I would like to see more Progressive House , Tribal House, Tech House, Acid House, Hard House ( I don’t think we indians will be able to tolerate hard house  ) , trance, eurotrance, break beats etc I mean there is so much for the DJ’s out in india if they manage to promote dance music Infact I found that, virtually every pub/club I visited they tend to play a mixture of everything ( right from classic rock - chart busting pop tunes , that makes me wonder , clubbing hasn’t really arrived in india ) Why is this so ?, well, according to me, there are a number of reasons, first of all, the crowd i.e we people should start going to places where they play either rock ( for the rock hard guys ), pop/commercial dance ( for the guys and birds who would like to hunt each other  ) or proper dance ( for the dedicated clubbers like me  ) . The other thing which really gets to my nerves is they allow only couples for special events , say an international DJ is playing etc , now, why do we guys have to suffer just because of some lunatics out there, why don’t the event organisers have proper security ?? ( I mean bouncers  ) . To be honest, I have stopped going out and sit at home practising mixing at home ( well, with two direct drive turntables and a decent mixer , who needs to have a night out , I would love to add a cds pioneer mixer and that would be it  , but the only thing I really have to suffer in this costly hobby, especially in India is the Vinyl records, I don’t think so there is no Vinyl record shops, so I have to get them as an import and that kills me ). I would like to know from you guys where they play proper dance music in bangalore , any ideas will be much appreciated Till that time, lets just wait in hope!!

Pros : can’t think of any
