Lava A10 is a stylish Dual Sim Dual Standby feature phone with stylish gun metal finish. On the front side it has 3 physical keys, on the left side volume key and on right side camera key is present. no physical screen lock key present.
Screen
3.0 inch full touch IPS screen quality is good. Screen supports 262k colour and 240*400 resolution. phone supports widgets, you can customize widgets from the predefined widget list.It supports three home screen.Touch screen is restive type and touch response also good. To lock the screen you have press lock screen widget.
Multimedia
LAVA A10 has Yamaha PA system for good sound quality.But I find headphone volume is very low, but speaker phone volume is good.Music player works on full screen mode. You have to put songs in My music folder to play all the songs. If songs are in different folder you need to create playlist.camera is 3.2Mega Pixel but quality is comparable to 2.0Mega pixel only.LED flash is not very powerful but it can be used as a torch.Video recording is below average and video playback is just ok.
Call/Messages
Call log keeps a record of last 60 numbers(dialled/missed etc.). A separate log is available for each call dialled, missed, rejected, received. when you dial number through on-screen keypad it shows two call buttons with 1and 2 numbering. When you dial from phone book it asks which SIM to call .You can select by touch or using the volume key to select SIM and then by pressing the physical call button. You can save the numbers from call log to phone book but you cant add the number to the existing name.Phone book had a capacity of 2000 contacts and sms memory is 1000.While typing sms just tilit the screen and you will get qwerty keyboard, this makes the typing easier.
Internet
phone supports EDGE technology, so internet browsing is faster compared compared to normal GPRS connection.Opera browser is preloaded with the phone but it doesn’t support video streaming. phone can be used as a modem(access internet through pc)for that you have to download PCSuite from LAVA website no cd is provided.You can sync phone book ans sms with pc.I tested the modem function with tata docomo connection after some tweaking it worked smoothly.I got download speed upto 20-24 kbps this is sufficient for normal browsing and email.
Memory
In bulit memory is 58MB only.You can expand memory upto 16GB .I have tested 16GB microSD it worked without any problem.
Battery
Its 1400mAh battery provides 2 to 3 days backup with dual sim operation with single sim you may get more.
