I went to the Indra Nagar, Chennai branch of L&M thinking that I was going to a professional and trustworthy company, though relatively expensive.
I knew exactly what I wanted.I asked for Crizal A2 coated Essilor bifocal lens. They tried to sell Nikon lenses to me with some other coating. I insisted on my Essilor with Crisal A2, and they agreed. I placed my order and the gave me an order-slip. The order slip did not carry either Essilor Name or Crizal A2. When I pointed this out, they wrote it on my copy for my satisfaction. I insisted that I should get the original warranty card from Crizal, which they agreed.
To my utter surprise, when I took the delivery, neither Essilor nor Crizal was written anywhere on the bill! There was no Crizal watermark on the lenses, instead some other illegible watermark was there. On asking, they still insisted that it was Essilor with Crizal A2. I reluctantly took the delivery, and decided to get my spectacles checked with some other optician. My suspicion was correct.the lenses are neither Essilor, nor with Crizal A2.
There is no way now that I can fight with them.these people are CHEATS! Dont go to Lwarence & Mayo.they will not sell what they tell!
GKB, though little more expensive, will at least not cheat you like this.they seem to be better.
