Lays don’t need a special introduction. I will hardly find a person who can say No to a bite of lays potato chips. Right from school days Lays has been my first choice of chips though I would like to add that I also like the crispy flavor of Uncle Chips but it is not easily available in every shop. My favorite flavor has been american onion the green packet and the plain slated yellow packet. The Lays chips have accompanied me while growing up when I used to have them with Coke or Pepsi and then later on with alcohol. I have used Lays chips in various ways such as adding them in my home made burger or with bread omelette just to add the crispiness.
During summers I had them with curd too but the best I enjoyed with is the melted cheese dip. I have found that it is worth buying Rs 20 packet because anything less than that makes you want for more. It brings out the wicked nature that makes me go on a guilt trip while holding my Lays packet to not share with anyone. Call me mean but I always made sure among my friends that each had their own packet whenever we had a get together of some sorts. Even while travelling this has been my go to snack which adds fun to my journey in a small way. It is popular with kids too and I have a niece who knows whenever I visit her I get her few packet of chips which brings a smile on her face plus I advise against chocolates for the younger ones as they can get addicted to it and end up spoiling their teeth.
Lays has a huge share in the Indian market and it is not easy to dethrone from it’s undisputed lead among consumers. It the very distinct flavor and the perfect hardness to chips which has made it popular among the masses. So next time watching a movie or a sports match don’t forget to carry a bag of Lays chips to have a enjoyable time.
