I never thought I?d be the first person to write a review on ?The World?s No.1 Potato Chips ? Lays?. Especially looking at the success Lays has got in India and considering the fact that so many Indian are on MS, this thought just struck me that why no one wrote a review about it. Anyways here?s my review.
I?m no expert as far as giving you details about Potato Chips is concerned, I?d just like to share my feelings with you about this product. Manufactured by a reputed company like Pepsi Foods people had huge expectations from this product of theirs and yeah it has rose to the occasion and satisfied them till the last ?bit?!
In India mainly it?s manufactured in Punjab and Haryana (Gurgaon). The ingredients used for making them are Potatoes, Edible Oil and Salt. They should be consumed within four months of their manufacture. They come in the packs of Rs.10 and Rs.20.
They are plenty of flavours on offer; thus, there is something for everyone?s liking. Different flavours being ? India?s Magic Masala, American Style Cream and Onion, Spanish Tomato Tango, Caribbean Hot & Sweet Chilli, Australian Cilantro Surprise and Classic Salted (My favourite one)!
Although the chips are very delicious in simple form itself and justify their slogan ?No One Can Eat Just One?, but they are far yummier if you have them with Pudina Punch Dip (the recipe of which is given below the packets)!
The packaging is very attractive to say the least and different flavours come under different colour (often being able to attract the attention of small kids and children). From an 8-year-old kid to an 80-year-old adult everyone is certainly going to relish this product. Once you have one bit of it you just feel like having more and more. Thus, if you are on a dieting spree and are staying away from junk food then I?d suggest you better stay away from them!
Some may find the price a bit expensive but the reason for it is the kind of advertising they have done. They have used celebrities like Saif Ali Khan, Mohomaad Kaif and now Nawab Pataudi as models for their product. They have barred no expenses and have made sure that the publicity is of the same quality as the product itself is! And the result is for everyone to see. They have taken the position of No.1 from Uncle Chips in no time what so ever.
They also prove to be life saving! Wondering how? Guests are coming at a short notice and you are left with no time to prepare any snacks. Chill! You can always rely on Lays. They prove to be the perfect snack whether you are having soft drinks or the hard liquor.
To conclude I?d just say, that if you haven?t tried them once (which is very improbable) then you can go for them without thinking twice. You get your money worth when you get that blissful taste in your mouth.
Statutory Warning: - Lays may prove to be injurious to health if you have them in company of your lover/spouse. Because all your attention would be on eating and thus, they may feel neglected and beat you up!
