This is not particularly a review about Lays chips.This is a warning that how innocent public can be cheated.
Well I have eaten almost all its flavours since college days.But recently I noticed that the quanity for each of its packets are very less, you can feel it when you lift it in hand.I found out that
NOW:
10Rs packet : 32Grams
20Rs packet : 80Grams
BEFORE:
10Rs packet : 40Grams
20Rs packet : 100Grams
So what they have done is, they have not increased the price but reduced the quantity-- very clever, But keeping the package shine and size the same, so that no people will notice it.So they dont even have to declare a price increase.
So they have decreased the 20 % of quantity in every packet.So for every 4 lays packet they sell they can recover 1 packet money for free.Normally we public will never know about this at all, just think how many lakhs people will be buying these, and what a profit the company will make.
I dont know what all other products are using clever marketing tactics.But we all know that if I can get 1rupee from 1 crore people then I will be a crore pathi.. and india’s population is more than a billion.
