One would’nt think much about the place when you enter it. It’s not one of those places that have a great ambience like Caesars or the like, just ordinary tables and chairs and so on.
The menu card is pretty straight forward too, with no descriptions of the food but the first thing you notice is the price of the food. Quite decent. A steak could cost you around Rs. 120.00 and then you think ’’what kinda steak am I going to get for that kinda money?’’ but then you’d be surprised.
We were a group of 6 and placed and order for 6 steaks and were quite surprised when we were served after around 15 min. Along with it came baskets of garlic bread. There were even a couple of delicious salad, on the house. The steak was served with mashed potatoes (choice of fries too) steamed vegetables and some fresh salad. The helpings were pretty large (I couldnt finish mine). When we enquired about who the chef was, we were told that he is the same guy who worked for ’’The Only Place’’ on Brigade Road. ’’The Only Place’’ was known for its excellent food, until one fine day they shut down for reasons we are not aware of.
After this, we also ordered some desert, Apple pie with vanilla icecream, chocolate cake and cheese cake. I must admit, the cheese cake was the best Ive tasted so far, so also the warm apple cake.
So for all those people out there who miss ’’The Only Place’’ visit ’’Lazio’’ in Blore !!!
