Le Pondy
This particular new beach resort has really impressed me and my family with the level ot service and food. We checked in to this place on Oct 27th 2011 and planned to stay for three nights. Finally, looking at what they provide, we extended our stay by another night. We initially thought the cost of the room (We stayed in luxury pool villa) which has a private swimming pool. But the kind of facilities they provide (inrespective of the room chosen) inside the room, you will end up concluding the cost is worth.
Talking about the ambience, this place is quite big and you have amble space to relax and feel comfortable. For old people and as well as guests, they have buggie (a small passenger vehicle which works on electricity) to move from one place to another. The rooms are near to restuarant and the resort itself is a good place to spend time. The big swimming pool is another star attraction.
Regarding the restuarant, the food is amazing and we enjoyed the breakfast and dinner to the maximum extent. The service has been to their best and they oblige to our requests. There are enough people to serve you in the restuarant.
The beach is maintained clean and there is a lifeguard available when the guest visit the beach. They are courteous enough to extend their timings after closing hrs.
The resort is near to the city, rather in the city and access to the town is quite easy.
We enjoyed our stay every minute. They were helpful in getting a baby chair during our meal time. The resort is very clean. The management team is very nice and they attend to your call immediately as well as they advice you on what all you can see as well as arrange a vehicle.
The car parking is without a shade and outside the premises. However, they have active guards who will be around our cars all time. No nothing to worry.
Only thing you need to take care is not to make phone calls to outside as the charges are exponentially greater than what it was when the mobile phone was introduced.
