Story: the movie begins with the chief minister of andhra pradesh( suman) in hospital after a landmine bursts his car. all the associate members call for the next motivation of dhanunjay( subba raju) as the chief minister. suhasini manirathram( c.m"s wife) visits hospital. her son rana daggubati( arjun prasad)returns from america. he tries to solve many issues on behold of his father:s illegal activities.he fails. so he becomes the chief minister. now as usual the story is about subbaraju locking horns with rana. he makes rana lose his governement. and after the death of his mother. he is alone. will he again form government and emerge as a leader is all story about!
casting: rana is suitable for the role. but he rarely faces camera. his emotions are hidden. his smile is always the same way. his anger in some scenes reflect his appeal. he did justice to the role. suhasini manirathram as mother did her role perfectly. subbaraju as villain was apt. kota as corrupt uncle was good enough. rest all shared space. heroines priya anand and richa were not utilized for full.
music/ back ground: the musical numbers that adds emotion to the movie is good enough. the first and last song are heart throbbing. rare background score to the movie was good in parts. DTS mixing is good in certain areas.
screenplay/direction: shekhar kammula had done perfectly this movie. he is single performer for the movie in terms of dialogs screenplay and ample direction.
final analysis: the first half is good. 45 minutes of the first half is interesting. second half is dragged and post interval 15 minutes is good. again last 15 minutes is good. overall movie is 60% good. 40% was unnecessary. the product is watchable.
