Please avoid new hornad driving school.
I recently finished my driving class from newhornad(new hornad) driving school( http://www.newhornad.com). This driving school is on Hosur Road, and they have kind of monopoly near the Electronic City/Hosa Road/Singasandra Area.
1st thing is its overpriced, he charges more than 3.2K with license, and around 2.7K without license for 10hours class.
I already had my license, and so I just wanted some practice. That’s why I went ahead and put a request in Selekha. Within few minutes I got a call from them. The instructor’s name was Venkatesh and over phone he told me to bring the full amount on the first day, to which I reluctanly agreed. He came on time the next day morning, and asked for the money. I asked him for the receipt to which he said that I would give you next day. I was reluctant again, and due to my insistance he gave me the receipt.
The class went fine initially for 3 days and then the instructor started bunking! He skipped whole two weeks. Then finally he came, but that to in irregular times while ranged between morning 7 to noon 1PM. So I had to call him continuosly and wait for him.
He always prefers to go only on good roads, so that his petrol consumption is less. Also I asked him many times to take me for a night class, and he always avoided, and came only in morning. He never teached anything except driving on normal roads until you ask him explicitly, for example stopping at middle of a ramp, and then starting from there without going back, or parallel parking, etc. I had to ask him to teach him all this, to which he just showed it once.
Finally he didnot even finish all the classes as I had paid him full amount initially. When asked why, he says you have already learned a lot, now practice yourself. So please try to avoid this school, if at all you want to join, dont pay in advance, and ask him to teach all those things which I mentioned, because once you are alone in your own car then you know what things you did not learn!
