Review on Santro Driving School, Bangalore

Having spent 2 years in Bangalore and observing the chaotic traffic here, I finally made up my mind to learn driving and buy a car. As I stay in Koramangala, I dropped in to the office of Santro Driving School near BDA Complex here. I paid half the amount they were asking for and decided to start for the classes next day onwards. Time given to me was 6:30 am in morning, however, no soul from this school turns up before 7 am. Needless to say, after 3 days of frustration, I started coming at 7:30am. Once the balance amount was paid, these guys started ignoring me, they would come uop with excuses like the instructor is busy, or on vacation etc etc. Even after completing 10 classes out of 15, I was not comfortable with even the gear shifting. on complaining, another instructor was provided for me.

Now this guy was another greedy fellow.after 15 mints only he started blabbering about how difficult it was to drive and I had so many weaknesses, then he started asking for extra money for’special’ classes, claiming he can make me perfect in just 2-3 remaining classes.stupid as I was, I fell for this and paid him another 400 bucks. 2 more classes and then this guy started asking for another 200.This time I was careful and totally refused.now whenever I call these guys for my remaining classes, again they seem to be perennially busy and have no time for me!

I have suffered and wasted money, and would like to caution everybody against this driving school. Beware, they are just a greedy lot who will try to extract money from you in every crooked way possible, and learning to drive, huh, forget u’ll learn nothing worthwhile other than steering wheel control from these idiots. And if you’ve already fallen in trap of this talkative instructor who keeps blabbering and asking for money, be careful and don’t succumb to his tactics

Now I’m learning from my friend who has agreed to teach me during weekends and it’s much better.the only problem is that in this country you can’t even get a license by fair means.will still need to doing some driving school or pay bribes.:(
