This is probably the most comfortable pair of safety shoes I ever owned. The are not much heavier than a normal pair of kicks and I could wear them for a 7 1/2 hour shift without my feet getting busted. Now, I checked the negative reviews and I have to point the following.
Yes, it is true those arent tough enough for say a builder. So before you buy them you need to check whether your line of work requires more resistant footwear.
Those shoes only meet BASIC SAFETY requirements. If for example you are using a chainsaw daily and you think those may be suitable for protection, I urge you to think twice.
To summarise, those shoes are great for people who arent directly involved with constucion work but their precedes is required on site. They can also be suitable for construction related occupations, possibly carpenters, electricians, carpet fitters etc( I am neither so do not quote me on this).
Regarding durability, I wore them daily for mixed duties(office and manual labour) for almost 3 years and replaced them only when the heel gave up the ghost. I still use the old pair in the garden but I got a brand new one as I really like them to wear them everywhere.
