Best Phone ON world LeEco Le Max 2

1)I generally used to see a live demo of any phone I buy and then only I decide to buy it or not.

2)A Chinese company phone which is a new entrant.

3)This grey colour is not found anywhere, even in lemall.com! Only on Amazon.Depended only on the seller ratings and I bought from the seller "OFFERER".

4)Many purchases for the rose gold colour and commonly found with public But only 26 reviews for this colour.

5)I’m a 1st year engineering student and I was using Sony t2 ultra dual and as it started hanging and also camera wasn’t even as good as a redmi note 3. I paid 26k for it in the year 2013. Now my mom’s condition to me if she wants to buy it for me is dat I have to keep it till my engineering course at least so definitely I’m not in a situation to take risks.

6)I e-mailed the seller a day before delivery about its originality and about warranty but till now no reply.

But here it is an awesome looking phone that stood up to my expectations and here’s my experience:

Looks:

With a colour same as the graphite version of Oneplus 3 but without black front, don’t see the image it is completely different. It comes out 1000 times better than the pic shown.

Performance: 10/10

Just one word, " FLUUUIDD" it just flies through everything. Played asphalt 8 with no lags but with asphalt’s new update it is stuttering but dat is the game’s fault as even the Oneplus 3t is facing stutters. Yet to try more games. Anyway, anyone can tell how snapdragon 820 processor would perform so no need further explanation. Ram management is awwwesommmee. Really, I kept Google chrome in the background with a website open for at least half an hour and it still opened without any reloading.

Display: 8/10

Umm I didn’t find much difference between a 1080p display not side by side but I didn’t feel there is something exceptional about it. Anyway it’s a 5.7 inch display but the whole phone is appropriately the same size as that of a Oneplus 1. U also get options to change the colour reproduction like vivid, natural, etc. I liked the vivid mode as the colours were vivid and oversaturated as the name says. I also didn’t see any instances where the colours look washed out. But anyway I expected a 2k display to be paid like out of the world but:( Also wallpapers, live wallpapers and themes preloaded are very few like 4-5 each and are pretty simple, nothing eye catchy.

Battery:10/10

1.5 hrs of music with Dolby enabled or sometimes a movie in the morning with screen on full time at 65% brightness, playing heavy games in bits of time dat would amount to approximate total of 2hrs of heavy gaming, again 1.5hrs of music the same way and rest of the time in standby mode, I do use fingerprint scanner always for unlocking. That’s my usage and I get 70% of juice left when I reach home at 5:00pm. I charge my phone to 100% before leaving home at 7:50am. So for me it’s good.

Camera: 8/10

It’s good for taking pics of pages of a long note book with every corner legible. It also takes good photos with great detail in low light too. I tried Oneplus 3t’s camera at their pop up event and wat I found was that there is not much difference except that the noise levels of this le max 2 is double dat of the Oneplus 3t’s. Zoom is not as much as in my t2 ultra dual, exactly half of it. I record videos rarely but right now I didn’t try it.

Sound quality: 9/10

Are u ready to crush your colleagues and friends by hosting a phone sound competition? This phone is hell loud, louder than Oneplus 1 and still maintains to keep the quality crystal clear. But it has a single speaker at the bottom which is getting covered by my hand while holding it in landscape orientation and sound is loudness is reduced to a quarter of before when it was not covered. Headphone experience is also equally good with Dolby and hi-fi but no Dolby equalizer, only leeco’s equalizer in their music app.The best part is that the equalizer works with Dolby on. So no compromise in music quality. Also due to the loss of headphone jack I’m using the adapter provided and that’s my experience. No plans of trying cdla earphones as I’m a bass freak and cdla earphones suck in terms of bass. If your headphones’s impedance is 16ohms or less then awwwesommmee. Sound during call is also good and even the other person hears you clearly.

Connectivity:9/10

Signal reception is good enough to prevent any sort of problems. WiFi signal reception is good but not better than my t2 ultra dual which could connect to even a weeeak signal. Didn’t try Bluetooth as I use shareit and no surprises there.

If you are wondering how I have compared some stuff with the Oneplus 1 then I say that 2 of my friends so have them.

Software: 7/10

It came with eui 5.8 preloaded with no bloatware at all. Fingerprint is too robotic in nature, means you have to place your finger in the same way when loading a fingerprint. But it still works good. It only doesn’t work when you place it in a different way, even a small angle matters. Music player skips 1-2 songs when all the songs are meant to be played. This is why my screen is on even when playing music. These are some manageable bugs. Also no guarantee about android OS updates.

Verdict: 9/10

If you are a student like me whose mom is forcing you to keep it for 2 years or a person who wants to keep it for at least 2 years with futuristic features like USB music playback, 2k display for VR, etc and a perfect all rounder smartphone then I can confidently say that this is the only phone below 30k neglecting service centres availability. I could have bought the Oneplus 3 but I have seen reviews that it’s headphone experience is not good at all with no equalizer, no bass, no sound enhancements, etc. So oneplus 3 can be called a 75% all rounder. But this le max 2 is a 100% all rounder no doubt. If u r thinking about mi 5, once look at the spec sheet. I don’t think it’s worth spending extra 3-4k on it just for lower specs but slightly better customer service.

Better this phone with this colour than that girly pinky rose gold colour. Also I did at least 9 months of research seeing reviews, camera comparisons, newly launched phones, etc. Then this phone came to my rescue. I shall edit my review if I see any changes. I also uploaded some pics of it. Thanks for your time. Hope I helped u fully.

UPDATE: 18/1/17 AFTER UPDATING TO LATEST EUI VERSION.ALSO TOOK JIO SIM

Performance: Installed gta San Andreas, asphalt 8, Facebook, WhatsApp. Before, always the free ram would be at 2.5 GB after closing all apps but now getting only a maximum of 2.2 GB. Even if u restart the phone, u would get 2.4 but once u open any app it comes down to 2.2 gb. I could factory reset it but I already spent a lot of time to download the huge games so can’t really rely on flashing the backup s again. But no visible performance changes. Gta San Andreas, Facebook works without lag.Fingerprint scanner is no more robotic and now works good but if fingertip goes slightly out of the scanner then it doesn’t detect, also speed is still slow and takes up to a second to unlock.

Camera: didn’t find any changes.

Connectivity: Sorry for not mentioning before that JIO didn’t work before this update but now it works good.

Music player: Leeco teamed up with hungama music and is now directly integrated into the music app as the second tab with the 1st one being local music, something I don’t care at all as I don’t use it, but from then it has become buggy. Whenever there is no internet connection, the hungama tab shows no network connection which is nothing surprising but when you open the music app the default tab selected is local music or the 1st tab and it shows the above error "no network connection"! Then I have to select hungama tab and then again the 1st tab for it to load local music. This happens every time you open the app which is reaaaalllly ANNOYING! One more good thing is that before, Dolby was only just a switch in the sound settings, no Dolby equalizer was provided but now even though they have not provided the same they now divided it into modes like film, music, game and voice, again just switches.

Software: Added virus scanner.

Battery: I feel the battery started to drain a bit too fast. Well maybe because I increased my gaming usage to maybe 3-4 hrs but I feel it is slightly draining faster than before. Nowadays getting only 20% left when I reach home and not 70, % as mentioned before.

That’s it. Except battery issue no more major issues at all. It is still a good buy. I feel it is better than the Oneplus 3 if u neglect the ram, updates & fast fingerprint scanner features.
