Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins are well known authors in prophecy and thriller books. They have had a best seller out in the Left Behind series. The series is a list of 12 books and 8 of those books have been printed to date. The first in this wonderful series is LEFT BEHIND. People who love Science Fiction or just love well written prophecy non fiction, are buying these books. I can’t wait for # 9 this fall. The best seller has been purchased by secular and Christians world wide.
Left Behind:
The novel is a well written fact based story of what the world will go through during the rapture of believers and the time that follows here on earth. The characters in Left Behind also continue through in the other series books. You are up close and personal as you ’live’ the adventure and the terror of a family and their friends and enemies who must face the tribulation of being ’left behind’.
Opener:
The story opens in the first chapters with well defined characters who are traveling on an airplane and something mysterious happens. People disappear. In mid air, they are gone, leaving behind only clothing or watches or rings. Panic ensues and the adventure begins for the pilot and his friends, once they land. There is caos and the world erupts into mayhem. Each page keeps you confined to the book to go further into each chapter. It is riveting and ’edge of seat’ thriller taken right out of Revelation.
Final review:
With each chapter, you are held bound to begin anew, for the main characters. They must survive in a world held upside down and with ’state run’ organizations forcing people into submission and acceptance of a new world leader. The characters realize they must stay clear and not submit and hide. They meet and maintain contact with others like them, who are fighting to remain alive, sinse Left Behind.
Left Behind can be bought online at all major book sites and at any well known book store. All the books in the series following Left Behind, can be purchased up to book #8. I am anxiously waiting for the new release of #9 that is due out this fall. If you want a really good adventure/suspense/thriller/sci-fi/special effects/ book, this is it. It is well worth your starting your own collection and passing or lending to friends.
