Lenovo A916 is worst phone!
#1. Sound Reception: This phone is average in sound reception and your reception degrades as the signal strength drops. It is very cheap phone and has very disappointing hardware. You cannot live with this phone if you’re not in city.
#2. User Friendly: This’s not at all user Friendly phone because it is only meant for China market and not for other countries. I do not know why at last moment Lenovo thought they could sell it in other countries also. All Google Play store application won’t function in this phone. This includes popular applications like YouTube, Google Map or any other Nagivation App, I bought this for my old Grand Father only because it is very basic but said to me every now and then some China applications gets automatically installed and you have to remove it. Chinese developer at last moment made this phone for other countries and forget to put off some inbuilt programs that mess up constantly with your phone. Most worst things about this phone is that it’s dual sim but you have to do a nonsense trick to enable your second sim. Lenovo India doesn’t support issues related to this phone also. This is also a surprise.
If you are an Android application developer then even you will face issues in enabling the developer option in this phone because it is like the developer want to hide it.
#3. Style & Design: It has a deceiving design and you’ll think it is a good phone but you’ll be disappointed when you’ll power on the phone. This phone display clearly shows you distortion in pixel like for example, If you are home screen and that has Application icon of messaging App, calling App, Camera App then all these 3 Apps will cast a vertical distortion across the screen and you’ll recognize it almost immediately.
#4. Other Features: This phone has no special features and lacks the basic features too.
#5. Look & Feel: It’s all plastic design. A chrome layer run on the edge is also the plastic. Back cover is textured and looks good and this makes it good to hold.
#6. Value for Money: It’s not value for money because it has pathetic battery. It comes with a battery that says it is 2000 mAh but if you check with some application that can detect the hardware information then you will find it is only 1100 mAh for a sealed packed box. Battery will only last 1 year of normal usage and then you have to buy a new battery and new battery for this model are not manufactured now and you’ll get something from a old stock and that battery will have even more less capacity then 11 mAh this makes it technically waste handset. You have to buy some compatible battery from china which costs more and are not branded and initially will have exact 2000 mAh capacity but that also will last for 1 year and changes sizes.
I strongly request you not to buy this phone.
