My Experience with Lenovo Ideapad 510

I purchased this laptop in March(27 / 28) 2017. I narrowed down on this laptop because I found it slim compare to other models in same price range(55 K). Moreover the I took decision to buy this because Lenovo is giving one year accidental warranty and provides additional two year warranty(of course you have to purchase it). But my experience with Lenovo is pathetic. Now I know why Lenovo is ready to cover laptop under warranty, because they themselves are confidant that reliability and durability of their laptop’s are not great and there is compromise in the quality. Within 7-8 months hinges(which connects the screen to body) came out. There was no accident to happened it. As a regular routine I opened the laptop and I found that hinges came out. When I rush to near service center(this is another problem, you will not able to find help easily on their website and you have to spend some time to figure it out). they told me that Lenovo can cover this issue freely because laptop is under one year warranty but next time its not possible even if laptop is under warranty of one year(extended warranty dont cover accidental damage). When I asked that its not accidental because there were no marks on laptop which may cause by accident. Service center didnt listen to me and told me that I should speak to call centre. Call center person mentioned that if its a manufacturing issue then it would have came out immediately when I purchased and told me its handling issue. Which I didnt agree because we all know how precious laptop and our data in it. Also, its not the case that this was my first laptop(i was using Sony Vaio for 10 years and still no problem, reason to sell it beciase Sony was planning to close down the unit). Everyday I carry my office laptop for work no issue happened to it but my personal laptop which I dont carry much, it had an issue. Thats where I had doubt on build quality of laptop and why Lenovo is ready to cover accidental damage for first year. Now, recently my laptop had an issue with battery. Now, Lenovo is saying battery is not cover under extended warranty. When I heard this I was shocked and had feeling that I have been cheated. This information was never provided to me when I purchased the laptop. I am really disaapointed by Lenovo and never recommend Lenovo to others.

User friendly: there is no plus point over other competition. I just found this laptop more slim. Rest is average.

Reliability & Satisfaction: poor build quality. I am disappointed on my purchase.

Value for Money: not at all.

Service & support: pathetic. customer care for laptop is poor there is no toll free number as well.
