I am regretting my decision to buy an IdeaPad. I was impressed by the sleek design. However, the product is so delicate that the hinges break even when used carefully. My laptop hinges got initially got broken within 4 months and Lenovo people repaired it in warranty. It again got broken just after the warranty got over and to my shock, the cost of repairs is about 15k rupees as they have no option to repair the hinges and have to replace the entire top cover. I got only 1 year warranty, though some people seem to have got 2year warranty. My request to Lenovo to repair it free of cost is denied. Now I have no option but to spend the money and I don’t know how long it will last again. I have used HP, Dell, Sony products before and they are sturdier. Being on work from home, I was not even carrying the product with me ever since I have bought it. Even then the hinges got broken twice within a span of 8 months. Performance wise it was okay for initial 6 months, but started lagging after that. Avoid buying IdeaPad products.
