I have been using the Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 Core i5 11th Gen for a while now, and honestly, the long-term experience has been quite disappointing. When I bought it, I expected smooth performance for gaming and regular tasks, but the laptop hasn’t lived up to its expectations at all.The first major issue I faced was heating. Even during normal browsing or using YouTube, the laptop gets warm very quickly. If I play any game—even lightweight games—the temperature rises so much that the fan starts making loud noise. Because of this, the performance drops and the game starts lagging after 20–30 minutes.
Another issue is the overall speed of the system. Initially, it was smooth, but after a few months of use, the laptop started slowing down. Apps take time to open, multitasking is not stable, and sometimes even simple tasks like switching tabs or opening File Explorer feel delayed. For a laptop marketed for gaming, this is honestly very disappointing.Battery life is also below average. Even at normal brightness and basic usage, the battery drains quickly. For gaming, you cannot even think about playing on battery—it just lasts less than an hour and heats even more. The build quality looks okay from outside, but the keyboard keys feel a bit loose over time, and the trackpad is not very accurate. Sometimes it doesn’t register clicks properly.Overall, I feel this laptop is not suitable for gaming in 2024. It struggles with heat, battery, and performance. For the price, there are much better gaming laptops available. I personally regret buying this one and would not recommend it to others.
