To be fair, a few days after this review and also after posts on FB and Twitter, the top management got involved, the warranty issue was resolved, laptop IdeaPad was picked up from my home, fixed, and re-delivered to my total satisfaction.
Lenovo was very helpful.
Flipkart was NOT helpful at all.

My daughter presented me with a Z580 in March 2013. The advertisement and invoice from Flipkart offered a 2 year warranty with an additional 2 years warranty for web purchase.
A few weeks ago, the charger socket jack got loose inside the laptop. Luckily everything is backed up and the older laptop needed just a new battery, so work does not stop, also there are other devices at home.
But the behaviour from Lenovo was like that of a small street petty thief.
First they said, since it was bought by your daughter, warranty is in her name, and since you are making a complaint, warranty void. Next they said please show original packing. Luckily that is also still around. Then they said, show original hard copy bill, even though I had sent them the soft copy. After this they said the 2 year additional is not additional but simultaneous.
Thats where it stands 3 days later. It is being bounced between Flipkart and Lenovo.
Shameful on the part of Lenovo India.
