Lenovo G 550 laptop

I purchased Lenovo G550 on Dec 17th 2009 with a configuration of C2D processor T6600 with 3 GB Ram and 320 GB hard disk space and so far happy with its performance. I have short listed acer 5738 and Dell inspirion 1545 laptop along with it.

Acer 5738 is a good looking machine with lot of features but with windows 7 it is costing around 39000 and I had a bad experience with acer as my earlier travel mate 2350 has problem with DVD drive and low battery backup. As far as Dell, I didn’t like its look and I checked the windows experience index of Dell and it was 3 compared to Lenovo’s 3.4.

Less customer service centres was also a problem after the onsite service warranty expires. What I like about this G 550 is its speed and number pad keyboard. Gives a battery back up of 3.2 hours. I am using this laptop 8 hours daily and the palm rest stays cool and noise level is also minimum. Price was also a factor which attracted me.

Update on 2015.

This laptops still works fine. I have upgraded it to windows 10 and works smoothly.

Only two keys are not responding, need to press hard. that’s all.

So I’m giving this laptop a 5 star owing to its durability.
