Frankly, this is my first android experience after using iPhone and Blackberry for last 4-5 year and I must say I was in for a surprise.
When I was searching for an android handset, almost everybody advised for a Samsung / Micromax handset. But the first thing I ant was a good battery life as I am a heavy user. I talk for around 3-4 hours on phone and mails/ FB/Twitter, news apps go all day long and I hate carrying a charger in my pocket(which was the case for iPhone).
The first thing I got interested in this phone was 4000mAh battery(I mean WTF?). and with the battery the internal hardware was pretty cool as well.
Dual sim-slot.
quad-Core 1.2 GHZ processor.
internal 8GB RAM.
1 GB RAM.
Android 4.2 OS. (wiith Lenovo rich UI)
5" screen. (watching movies and games are a bliss.
8 MP primary camera and secondary VGA. (why Lenovo - why) camera
And the monster - 4000 mAh battery.
Performance is pretty neat, never hangs in between and there is a surprisingly cool feature in it. It has got a RAM cleaner apps pre-installed in the Lenovo UI. So, no lagging in memory section as well.
Camera is neat (I am unable to understand why people create such a fuss over mobile camera) with LED flash, auto-focus, face detection and Geo-Tagging.
With 8 GB internal memory and 1 GB RAM, I did not face any performance lagging in the operation(mind please, I am a pretty heavy user on phones). Kingsoft office is pre-installed for official works.
Cons:-
NO accessories available in the market. To get just a screen-guard and flicp-cover, I had to rely on eBay for 2-3 days.
VGA front camera- but still its ok for Skype.
And as I was used to iPhone 3gs and then blackberry 9500, the 5" screen is a little big for my comfort. But then, its a phablet and some people really like the size.
Final verdict:-
Go for it for the sheer VFM factor and battery life- if not anything else. A definite option for the sub 20K android smartphone segment.
P.S: in the box, you also get a nice pair of in-the-ear headphones and an free OTG cable. (now thats a definite feel-good factor)
