Dear Friends,
I have purchased a Lenovo Smartphone P780 on 17th December, 2013 evening and that day I only charged it.
Started using it from 18th. Initially working fine, but the software updated when I connected to wi-fi.
After update the mobile is not accepting incoming calls.
I contacted the customer support @ 1860-180-3425.
The number looks to be a tollfree number.
But I found a STRANGE THING, that the call cost is Rs.4.00 per minute.
I got a doubt on my mobile operator Airtel and contacted Customer care and amazed to here from them that the phone numbers starting with 18XXXXXXXXXXX the call charge is decided by the company/person who owns the number and Lenovo fixed it at Rs.4.00 per minute and this money goes to Lenovo for providing customer support. The line cuts some time in middle and sometimes all customer care excecutives are busy.
Isnt it amazing? you can check by dialing this number.
And finally the advice was to visit Service Center.
I visited the following mobile service centers in Hyderabad sometimes for me and sometimes with my friends or colleagues.
- Nokia, 2. HTC, 3.Spice, 4. LG, 5. Samsung, 6. Lenovo
Even the Indian local Mobile Phone company Spice is in competition with the Global giant in maintaining service center and providing service.
But the Lenovo Service center, people may remember the radio repairing shops in small towns in olden days. Exactly, there is no other alternative which I can tell you to guess.
Of all the first five mobile companies mentioned above, the problem was told to us immediately and was repaired within a hour, except one time when there was a board problem,
But here at Lenovo they saidJust you leave your mobile here, we will call you tomorrow. But there was no call from them till the third day till I got angry with them when I called them on the third day. The second day their answer wasNo update.
On the third day evening they returned me the mobile.
Now the incoming calls are working, But out of 8Gb internal menory only 750 Mb is left for my usage to install apps. The service center personal doesnt have much knowledge and at the same time he doesnt have any support fromLenovo
Again I called the customer care.
Again executives are busy and the line is cut during conversation.
I talked with tow executives regarding memory issue.
The first executive advise is to enter in to the internal memory and delete unwanted system files. You may be knowing how to do this and what may be the consequences of it,
The second executives advice is to install apps on memory card.
With their advices I got to know their knowledge and since then quietly regretting for purchasing the phone.
Today I purchased a flip cover case for the mobile. Now my mobile looks like a small diary(Thickness), because the back cover of the Lenov P780 mobile is designed such that, the flip cover can not be designed like flip covers of Samsung or Other mobiles to look thin. Thanking You,
Regards,
