The phone was stylish, smooth, sleek, affordable with lot of features when I brought it around 6 months back online. Searched for a flip cover similar to the ones that is readily available for other brands in market, but just couldn’t get one that fits to size.
Couple of months later, I accidentally dropped and cracked the touchscreen glass. Living in Pune I found that there’s only 1 authorized Lenovo service center(Fortech Computers - managed by HCL) where they undertake repairs. They told me that they just couldn’t replace the glass alone, but had to do the entire display panel and was told that this to amount to half the rate of the phone that I had brought it for. First they assured me 2 weeks time, but eventually it took me 2+ months and numerous vists till I got it back. During my visits to this service center, I did notice people calling from small towns as far as 250Km’s asking for pick-n-drop options(there wasn’t), as this was the only 1 authorized service center in this entire area. That’s when I realized why I ought to have brought a phone that is market popular and has adequate after sales service available nearby.Its been 6 months now, I do face hiccups like folks not able to hear me but I can hear them, when ever the network connectivity is low.
