While working at my current office, we were all provided with the Lenovo Thinkpad T400. Initially it looked like a really sturdy laptop which does its job really well. But after using it for quite some time I started having really different opinions about it.
Let me start of with some of the good features of the laptop. It is most certainly fast. Ive compared it to my personal laptop which I also use at work and it is definitely much faster thanks to the RAM it has.
Another thing good about it is the fact it has sufficient amount of ports to plug in various USB drives.
Now, the negatives. The laptop is NOT as strong as it looks. Before I even got my laptop there was a crack in the panel beside my display. It was quite annoying to hear it rattling every time I open my laptop.
The uncomfortable or inconvenient positioning of the Ctrl button is also quite annoying. We are all used to the Ctrl button being the lowest and left most key, but here it is another button, and that annoys the quick button users like me.
Another thing I did not like about the laptop is the fact that the screen resolution or the brightness is not that great, at least in my laptop. I sometimes have to squint to see it properly and this is despite putting it at the maximum brightness display.
All in all, I wouldnt recommend this laptop to anybody as it is quite expensive and very fragile in nature.
