The latest offering from Lenovo in the budget phone segment. This is an honest review for the lenovo note 4.
Pros: 64 bit octacore mediatek MT6753.
5.5 full hd ips display( 1080* 1920) 401ppi.
Dual sim 4g lte
Decent rear and front facing camera( 13 mp at the back and 5 mp in front)
3 GB DDR3 RAM
Dual front facing speakers
Dolby atmos audio engine( really impressive)
16 gb internal with upto 128 gb micro sd support
Fingerprint scanner and NFC
Theatre max( coupled with virtual reality glasses gives powerful 3d multimedia experience)
3300 mah battery
Corning gorilla glass 3
Cons: The GPU( Mali-T760MP2) used is not at par with other options available at the same price.
Vibe ui is not refined and heavy.
The processor used cud have been better like the Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 which is available in xiaomi note 3 which is at the same price range.
Multitasking and resource intensive gaming experience may show sluggishness.
Lenovos inherent heating issues
Lack of fast charging option.
Verdict: Though, the lenovo note 4 is a featured packed phone at the price point in the market, it still is not upto the mark with some of the competition available at the budget phone segment. Especially, the processor may get overworked and underperform resulting in abnormal heating issues, especially, after the initial couple of months after purchase, which may show signs of lag.
The GPU is mediocre thus, compromising on visuals.
It would be a good option for those looking for a phone with good multimedia option, but the rest of the consumers should wait out for something more usable.
