Brought this phone on 19/05/2016 through amazon. Have been using this phone for about 20 days. This review is going to be a bit long because its not just about the phone, but also how the customer care response to your issues when they give you a defective piece.
Phone -The build quality is good! feels very premium in spite the back cover is made of plastic. Battery gets two thumps up even with a moderate usage with constant checking on SM updates got an on screen time for about 5hrs. Camera is decent, day light images are good, even low light one can be made better if you can tweak the settings. But it fails BIGTIME in network reception department. Having issues in detecting your own home network on both sim slots. On 11/06/2016 it finally gave up in detecting any network. Initially thought it was something to do with sim card, nope, it did worked perfectly when I used it on my older phone. So you guys can decide whether you want to buy a phone which neither can make nor receive any call.
Customer Support - Took the phone to the service center, without asking any question they just took the phone by saying there is hardware issue and it will take 3 -4 working days to rectify. And its been more than two weeks they have been just saying they don’t have spare available to repair the phone. Now the phone being still under warranty Lenovo could have at least speed up process of repairing the phone before the committed time or replaced with new working piece. No! all they want is the customer to wait untill they decide when they want to repair the phone and give it. Today [28/06/2016] even now they are just giving the same standard response, ’Untill we dont get spare we cannot repair the phone. You have wait till we get it repaired’, So if want to pay the R& D cost for the company to figure out what is wrong with it then please go ahead and buy it.
PS Note: Its been more than 40 days that phone is launched in India. Amazon.in doesn’t even have a review page for this phone. [FYI - Moto G4 was launched much later than this phone, it has its review page live]. So if you are smart enough you know why they don’t want the customer to write a review on this phone.
