delcart status stuck at-

I ordered numbered frame+ glasses for a friend of mine at bangalore as a gift, he was at India only for a short period, I asked lenskart to make sure they ship in time explaining the circumstances, Lenskart said  the power that I had mentioned is out of stock and they need some more time before they can start the shipment


anyways on the 4th day, post complete pre-paid payment  and a few requests  they dispatched the order, but then it got stuck while delivery as their courier partner delcart  didn’t deliver and requested for an alternate phone no.


No clue why


anyways the very next day my friend promptly called delcart and provided an alternate no though his primary number was fine as well .


and voila!  this makes  no difference  even after supplying the alternate phone no even when the primary is operational delcart is snoozing or shall I say hibernating


I have created 2  tickets with lenskart and with delcart but no answer yet from them .  Just some automated answers  from lenkart.com


Its very difficult to reach lenskart on the phone as  the number is not toll free and the waiting period is a lot, the chat system doesn’t always work well and even disconnects or doesn’t even initiate at times .


I have wasted a lot of money trying to call lenskart customer care and come off  waiting in the long call queue.


I’m distraught.


The website seems quite slow and  the interface is also quite confusing,


lenskart if you can’t ship the gift to my fiend it’s apt I ask for a complete refund as  your courier partner has messed  up my delivery


since lenskart isn’t easy to reach and the customer care is slow to understand issues on the chat and very slow to respond via emails


I’m dumping lenskart in favour of a local optician .


I’m cursing myself,  why did I ever involve lenskart while my local optician managed a bifocal number for my Mother for a lesser amount in less than 24  hours .


Everything online isn’t rosy especially if lax  courier partners and poor customer service is involved . My friend might leave India but the gift might never reach him . Courtesy lenskart


My time and energy and yes my money wasted


Update 1: after numerous tickets were raised and complaints were filed with lenskart and  delcart they finally decided to attempt a delivery today- the status says "out for delivery", lets hope  it gets delivered after 6 long days were wasted at Bangalore .


Very poor service from delcart, despite several telephone conversations with soumya and Srinivas at delcart Bangalore they were sleeping over the issue for 6 days. No one holds a product back for 6  days its either delivered, re-attempted or sent  back . This is complete dis-regard of the customers feelings especially when he was  sending a gift to his friend via lenskart . The same was communicated to lenskart several times and they were urged to handle the delivery with a sense of urgency.


Poor intervention from Lenskart .


update 2- finally delivered on the evening of the 4th after a 10 day poor transit time post order . I hope  alls  well within the package .


update 3-  The specs  though a little bigger than expected are clear and serve the purpose well .

However, as per the update and findings our team tried to deliver you the product but the registered number was incorrect and hence we did ask you to share a correct number. But, unfortunately we did not find any alternate number due to which product was not delivered. We are again sorry for the same.
