Watchout for a PATHETIC Lenskart service. I had placed an order(# 1200808314) reading glasses two frames+lens on 24/sep/2013. Later in the day later I get a call stating that that frame does not take the required lens power. I was asked to cancel the order and place a new order.
I re-ordered(order # 1200809121 - 24/Sep/2013) with different frames which took the+1.25 lens. The items got delivered in few days, neatly packaged. When I opened the package(1/Oct/2013), I had found that one of the lens had a small defect(broken at the edge). I had taken a photograph and sent an email to the customer service and requested replacement. Few days layer I was told that a pickup would be arranged. When I got time, I sent it back with pre-paid courier slip(enclosed in the original package). Few days later I got a call that a store credit would be given, which I refused and asked for a replacement or refund.
I thought of re-ordering the items and before the order had a long chat with the customer service representative on their website(09/oct/2013). I was told that refund is not possible and a store credit only would be given and it takes around 2 weeks to give a store credit. Since I needed the replacement, Ive placed an order for two more frames(order # 1200838189 - 09/oct/2013). Today, I get a call from the customer service representative that my order cannot be fulfilled because+1.25 lens is not in stock in their warehouse, which was not known to them during the order process. Thankfully, Ive made a cash-on-delivery order.
Overall, a long drawn process in which I am OUT OF MONEY, got half the order, no replacement, a promise of store credit which cannot be used because they do not have items(items that could be ordered from their website). Their website lists everything in stock, be ready to hear cancellation of the order, expect defective items on arrival, and expect only store credit because they cannot replace the item or refund the amount.
