I placed order on 24th April and got payment gateway error even though I have a 2Mbps connection. Immediately called and converted my order to Cash on Delivery. Got a call back from them regarding this and I again confirmed to convert to COD. I got another call (automated) regarding this and I again confirmed that Pl Do COD.
After 2 days, I checked status, Order on HOLD. I called cust service and the guy says order on HOLD because payment not done. I am like WTH? Did I not confirm 3 times to do COD. ??? He says that theyre negotiating with the payment gateway service provider for the payment.
I immediately canceled my order. If such greedy is the attitude of the vendor that even after telling them to convert to COD, they ignored the request and are waiting for my credit card payment, then imagine the hassles in case the product is defective....sorry....not my cup of tea....I cant do repeated follow ups with the stupid service reps for a simple thing like buying a pair of spectacles.
P.S.BTW when I called on 24th itself, , , seconds after the gateway error about my order status. The cust service guy was saying ---I see you ordered yesterday, 24th April...I told him today is 24th....Note the two instances are 2 days apart....In the period of 2 days, I spoke to 3 different cust reps...(Twice on day 1 -while placing order and once during cancelation. In both the cases, I got idiotic reps....no common sense.... Looks like Lenskart has hired some cheap labour.
