Leonardo Di Caprio was born on 11 November 1974 in Los Angeles CA , U.S.A . He was born to a German Mother and an Italian Father who actually got divorced within an year .He describes his parents as Hippies andh is father ran a comic book shop under his Garage. Leonardo Di Caprio got educated at the Center for Enriched Studies and John Marshall High School, both in LA . Leo was not a good student but was very active in Entertaining his freinds , Leonardo Di Caprio though often nudged by his Teachers at school but they did encourage him of his acting talents which made him Land up at the Romper Show when he was Just 5 . The producer were fed up by the kid for his mischevious acts at the sets that they had to fire him , WOW !! Getting fired at the age of 5 never heard of it ! Anyways Leonardo Di Caprio at the age of 10 got rejected from a T.V show that made his confidence low but his dad was on his side and encourage him , Leo then searched for a good agent who could make debut on the big screen . At the age of 14 after a lot of struggle , lot of hardwork in threatres and getting hurt of communalism Leo got a big one and landed on How to Deal With a Parent Who Takes Drugs’’ and ’’Mickey’s Safety Club.’’ He took part in over thirty commercials in all, and eventually procured guest appearances on such television shows as Lassie, The Outsiders, Roseanne, and Parenthood. Though he was cast in his first movie in 1991, Leo would rather forget his minor and embarassing contribution to Critters III altogether. At sixteen, he finally landed a successful, regular role as a homeless boy in the teen sitcom Growing Pains that lasted for a year. Though only a small part, Leo’s performance proved he had great potential; he easily outshined the rest of the cast.
Leo at the age of 16 got a debut in the main league of Hollywood in the film called THE BOYS LIFE , the move flopped at the Box office but Leo got positive reviews , Leo was very different from all the young actors who were ready to grasp any big budget film he wanted to discover his potentials in his acting , no doubt it takes a lot of guts to reject the role of Robin in Batman Forever and accept a low budget movie such as ’’What’s eating Gilbert Grape?’’ but Leo was right , Batman Forever didn’t do exactly well and What’s eating Gilbert Grape was a super hit which even gave an Oscar Nomination for the best supporting actor for his mentally challenged role in the movie . He later played different roles from each other like the drug-troubled Jim Carrol in Basketball Diaries, and the homosexual French poet Arthur Rimbaud in Total Eclipse. Leo won a lot of popularity from the above movies and it further increased in his movie ’’Romeo AND Juliet’’ .
TITANIC : This was the movie which did it for Leo , his acting skills were full furnished in this movie along with his very cute looks , he played the role of a third class boy who wins... blah you guys atleast must be knowing about the movie , Titanic is one of the 5 biggest grossers of hollywood , it got tremendous amount of good reviews , so did Leo , the movie grossed above 1 Billion $ and got 11 oscars , but it was quite shocking for Leo that he didn’t get an Oscar Nominee for the movie .
After an year or so Leo did The Beach which flopped and the ’’MAN IN THE IRON MASK’’ both the movies bombed but Leo seemed to be developing into an excellent actor which proved into movies he did after quite a long while such as Gangs of New York with Cameroon Diaz and Catch me if you can with Tom Hanks , the movies fared well at the Box Office and Leo’s boyish lean look were over and now he had a mature look with quite a well build body .
The Aviator : This movie was the biggest hit of the year but not as big as Titanic but this time Leo’s acting talents were tremendously appreciated and he got a 2nd Oscar Nominee in his career after a long duration of time . He lost through inches but Leo had made a big Impact in Hollywood , and it’s no time for sure he might win an Oscar for his good movies.
