I remember first hearing Avril while driving around town. It never really got my attention the first time I heard the song, as it became more popular I begun to look into who Avril really was. I was surprised to learn she is a 17 year old, Skater chick who grew up in my home country Canada!
She became famous in a short amount of time, and I dont blame people for liking her music. She gives a good change of pace to the ’’pop’’ type music that is out there. I’m glad to see that she was not afraid to show her ’’Skater’’ type look and attitude. Just recently she was nominated for 5 Grammy’s...Being new to the scene this year that is amazing! Unfortunately she never won one, but she should’ve.
I would recommend Avril’s CD to anyone looking for a good change of music style and just the fact of her nominations should show you she’s a truly remarkable young lady!
