I came across Letsbuy.com and decided to speak with support people before making the purchase. I spoke with Abhay, asked him about the company and bad reviews in https://mouthshut.com. He mentioned that there were some problems initially but assured me everything is resolved now. He asked me to consider buying once. I could sense the pride he took in the company and to be honest, I didn’t research any further and placed an order on Oct 9(LSB – 461961).
The shipping status was not updated in the website till Wednesday Oct 12 afternoon, so I called to check the status. The guy informed me that the payment is stuck with the Payment processor and I need to send some documents. Later in the evening, I send the document and called again to confirm the receipt and asked the lady to check if she is able to open the attachments. She said it’s in order and she is forwarding it to the payments department.
Since nothing was updated till Friday Oct 14, I called again and spoke with Nilofer. To my surprise, she said my email is not yet sent to the payments department and she will do it now. I mentioned that, her colleague already sent the documents on Wednesday. She said no details are available in the system for my call on Wednesday Oct 12. I couldn’t understand this and questioned – Why my email was not forwarded to the concerned department for 2 days? She says, there are 1000s of emails coming in everyday and they are doing their best. She was very polite and assured me of prompt action.
Now today is Nov 1 and I am still expecting delivery of the product.
This is by far the worst online shopping experience. I have done online purchase from companies in US, UK, Japan and never had to call customer care once.
In short -
I regret buying from letsbuy.com and will only recommend to people who have enough patience and time to do endless follow-up.
