Received a dead business calculator.

I had ordered Citizen calculator from letsbuy. This was part of their clearance sale. The order number 1048209& I received the item within 24 hours time.


Upon opening found that the item is dead & does not switch on. Immediately called customer care & asked them to replace. The rude customer care executive refused to reverse pickup & asked me to take the calculator to service center for repair.


WTF? I just received the dead item & why should I take it to service center to repair on my cost?


I feel like cheated by letsbuy through their clearance sale. I think clearance sale is a way to sell dead & defective items.


Update: Called customer care again & they are saying that they need dead on arrival certificate from Citizen calculator service center to replace the product. Asked them to provide the service center address in bangalore, which they were unable to find. The rude customer care said its not their fault that I purchased a calculator which does not have a service center.:(


Called the customer care 3 times & surprisingly enough each time call got automatically disconnected!
