Providing details and updates for benefit of online shoppers to make a decision to shop or not to shop on Letsbuy.com. I have read a lot of horror stories from Letsbuy Shoppers and still decided to give it a try as price and offer appeared to be attractive compared to other sites including a surprise Diwali Gift(I dont know what it will be(Customer service said it can be any thing like a memory stick or any thing electronic or non electronic)==
On 24th Oct.2011== 1PM Have placed an order of Samsung 32inch LED TV with Blue Ray DVD Player and Diwali Gift. Order LSB-531787 for shipment to Bangalore. It says ready to ship with no shipment details available at this time. Will update on overall experience very soon as it progresses. Many people have complained that they ship order without any Diwali gift they promise. Let us wait and see.
Based on phone calls to customer service. They have miles to go in terms of training their staff. I am comparing with Flipkart here.
==Update 25th Oct 2011 ==2:30PM- After placing order I had called and requested for shipment through Bluedart instead of Aramex which they told they may ship through. Although site have been saying Order # LSB-531787(Ready to ship) and In Process . still no update on shipment or tracking after a day of placing order.
Update 27th Oct 2011 - - Still no update from Letsbuy.
==Update 28th Oct 2011 ==- Yesterday morning got a call from LB in response to review posted here. They said that all items TV+Blue Ray player are in stock and today(27th Oct 2011) the items will ship and by tonight I will get shipping tracking details. Now noon of 28th Oct still no update. online or in email.
==Update 28th Oct 2011 == 8PM - Letsbuy has promised shipment to start on 29th Oct.

==Update 29 Oct 2011. ==- Status update on Letsbuy website shows shipped through Bluedart on 28th Oct and tracking shows picked by Bluedart on 28th night. Status shows both items shipped. but got a call from Letsbuy customer service(person called Pavan) that only TV is shipped as Samsung Blueray player is not in stock and will be shipped separately later. As per customer service online status showing both items shipped is not accurate as it is automatically updated once a shipment related to order goes out. Wait and watch.
Update 29 Oct 2011- Received TV shipment. Opened the box and it is not factory fresh unit. It is a used unit cleaned up and packed. Most likely a dealer demo/display unit. All accessories and manuals inside packing and box show that it is an old unit. with items repackaged Usage hours show around 600 hours. Informed Letsbuy through phone and email and also sent pictures of the product delivered they have promised a replacement unit. They said possibly some dealer or distributor has done this and repackaged an older unit. Let us see the final outcome.
I have posted details on my blog with pictures. Idea is also to guide people on how to identify an old, display units. Typically TV dealers package their display units after 2-3 months of use and sell to ignorant customers.

I have received the fresh new TV today from Letsbuy office/warehouse in Bangalore along with the pending item Samsung BlueRay player BD-D5100 and flowers as a goodwill gesture. TV is working fine. Being a new piece now it has all the accessories and papers some of which were missing in old unit.
Blue Ray player just out of the box on power up is not working fine and its drive is making loud sound on power up even without any disk in it. This is defective. I have packed it back in box and have informed Letsbuy about the same for a replacement(I think I am just a bit unlucky and this item also needs a replacement). My major issue is resolved now. Hope fully will get a good working Blueray player also soon and then some promised gift.
Update 10 Nov 2011 - Both items were received. BlueRay Player problem was referred to Samsung Service and Diwali gift(which is actually only a discount coupon of Rs200 on purchase of Rs2000 valid till year end) was also delivered. Thanks. All is well that ends well.
