GOODBYE LETSBUY!!!

Would you recommend "Letsbuy.com" to an enemy?: HELL YEAH!It’ll surely make him realise that there are more worse and painful things on earth than death.


If I created a mouthshut account just to post a review about Letsbuy then either I should be very satisfied or so damn pissed off and I’m afraid its not the former.

Product Ordered: BenQ G2222HDL with DVI port


Product Ordered: BenQ G2222HDAL with VGA port


Issue: Shipment of wrong product and worst customer service


>It all began one fine morning when I decided to build a gaming rig and I was so keen to get the lowest prices for components from any online site poassible. The lowest price inclusive of shipping for BenQ G2222HDL with DVI port was quoted buy Letsbuy(Rs.7499) and so I ordered it from them eyes closed. And paid via Net Banking.


>Processing and dispatching took place at blazing fast speeds as the product was shipped that evening itself(21 May) and I got updates of the same by mail at regular intervals. It even gave me an impression that they’re better than Flipkart(from where I’ve shopped many a times and had really good experience).


>The product got shipped to me on 23rd May evening. Damn these guys are fast and prompt. I was really impressed. The twist in the story begins now. If you’re a gamer or a movie buff you’ll realise the difference between VGA and DVI. These damn guys have shipped me BenQ G2222HDAL with VGA port instead of BenQ G2222HDL with DVI port. I felt a chill run through my spine.


>I contacted the customer care ASAP. No response. And again. Still no response. I called them. They made me wait for 5 minutes and no one picked up. Called again. Some stupid girl picked up and asked the order ID. I said and she ran away asking me to stay on line. She came back after 3 minutes and said that the product would be delivered within two days. I told that the product is already delivered but its the wrong one. She asked me to click photos of the same and mail.


>I took 6 photos(bill, port, model number, serial number and what not) and mailed it. Rang them up again. They told it’ll take 24-48 hours for a response. almost 30 hours have have passed since my first mail and still no response. They’re not even picking up the call now.


>I’m a sitting duck here with this crap monitor. And yeah, all monitors below that price range has gone out og stock now. So no replacement I guess. I asked them to take the crap back and refund the money and still no response.


This is my first experience with these guys and I’ll make sure its the last. Flipkart wins by miles comparing to these damn thieves. There customer service is superb. Even if they commit any fault they’ll rectify it ASAP. And these guys? They’ll love you as long as you hard earned money falls in their pockets.


My humble advice: Even if you have to spend a couple of hundred bucks more buy the stuff locally or from reliable sites like Flipkart. A big no to this crap site.


And yeah. I won’t give up until I get a replacement/refund. I’ll keep posting the updates here and I’ll recommend all my friends, relatives and anyone who’s reading this to stay away from Letsbuy.

Update 29/05/2012: Things are getting worse. Letsbuy has now integrated services with Flipkart.They’re creating a real mess and I don’t know whom to contact for the replacement.
