Pathetic delivery & service, poor system & process

I happened to make the mistake of ordering through letsbuy.com. Already 10+ days, still waiting for the delivery of my order. In hindsight, should have just paid Rs.100 more on a different website. Many many issues.


(1) Placed an order on 28/Oct/2011 to buy a game for my son so that he could use it in his Diwali holidays. Payment done and acknowledged - checked with the credit card company as well. Order status shows’in process’


(2) 5 days later. no change in the status of the order. Unable to get through their 24x7 call center. Email response from them says dispatch & logistics dept have been informed and the order will be dispatched on priority. No update for a few more days.


(3) On 4/Nov/2011, finally get an email from them with the courier docket no. And on the same day, in the evening, get another email from them that the order has been delivered on 10/Oct/2011. Super service. they delivered 25 days before it was shipped and 15 days before I even placed the order


(4) checked on the courier’s website. Indeed delivered on 10/Oct, but a different product and a different address. Obviously, docket no. was for a different order.


(5) Tried calling their 24x7 call center. On hold for more than 10 minutes. then gave up. Sent several emails. all replies are standard text with absolutely no confirmation or commitment on timelines.


(6) It is now more than 13 days. have no clue on the status of my order. Diwali holidays are over - purpose defeated. With their timelines, they will probbaly deliver(if at all.!) during the Christmas holidays
