I am a NRI and want to send a gift to my parents on a precious occasion that they are shifting to the new home. While searching through the online shopping stores, unfortunately I found the letsbuy.com, which promised to deliver the order in seven days. I booked the order and paid money using credit card. At the time of booking I received the mail about the order information. I was happy that with India the cautious of people is also developing. But it didn’t take more time to found my opinion wrong. After that I didn’t received any mail from the company. When I checked the status by logging in the website, I found that status is same what it was at the time of booking. When there was no change in the order status, I called the company customer service. A guy picked the phone and updated me that the shipment has not been booked yet and promised that they will book the shipment in next 24 hours. I told him that I cannot use call every time as I am out of country and who will I know about the shipment status. He replied politely that next day they will let me know about the courier/delivery details by mail. But unfortunately it was again a false promise. I didn’t receive any mail or information. I wrote to my friend in India and asked her to confirm, and she replied that they have already send it and it will be delivered by Monday October 3, 2011. I was cool that 2-3 day late is Ok, but when I asked her if she had the details of the courtier/delivery company. she pleaded nod. So today I called the company again to know the details of the shipment company. I was astonished to know that what the ccs told my friend yesterday was as lie. Because the person told me that they have not yet approached any courier service. Since this made me angry.what the hell they informed before one day is no longer valied. So I asked him to connect me to his supervise.
After waiting for some time a person introduced himself as a co-supervisor, when I said that I am on ISD call and where is the supervisor, hi replied that I am the in-charge supervisor and will do the need fulfilled.
Now the Amazing thing what he told me is that.**late is not due to letsbuy. com. they have forwarded the order to the manufacturer, **what the hell is this. when I purchase, **their were no mentioned that the delivery depends on the manufacturers will or the item is not in the stock. ** So how can they sell the things which are not in their stock.so cheat people. I stay in a country where the online malls promise of 2 days and deliver in 1 day and in that one day they let us know the status of each and every moment. **the unfortunate thing is that LSB know that they cannot deliver the promise but they never feel it is their duty to inform me about the inconvince. After my call on day 6 or day 7, their conscious didn’t allow them to inform me that their is some problem in the delivery. ** Today their supervisor have promised me that he will inform me about all my the end of day. Let us wait. Frankly I am sure that he will not.but I cannot do any thing, I had paid money.I cannot do any thing because I am out of country but I promise them had they not rectified their image, on my visit to India, the first important thing will be the consumer court where they will have to pay for their lies.And above all, I feel the need to write so that I can make people know the company and their lies. I have seen the post of a customer who is going to take a morcha about this company. so I will fully support him and I request many who wrote the negative feed back here to join us, so that we will try to make the country
Update: I is amazing that company administration and the field people have any communication. The company called my parents on the 30 September to let them know that the product will be delivered in two working days and also provided them the number of the local dealer who will give the delivery. The company also sent a mail to me that they have shipped the product, unfortunately their is no name mentioned, who is going to ship the product, instead they have mentioned that the company is having their own delivery system. The local person who is in contact is constantly lying that the vehicle has been loaded and will start delivery. what an amazing co-ordination between the lyres and cheaters. I strongly recommend people not to rely on this company who know nothing accept cheating the common man. Donot go with their prices and gifts, it is all a lie. you wont get the real thing, leave the gifts.
