After consistently delightful experiences with flipkart, I truly believed Indian e-commerce operators have come of age and thought that letsbuy.com is one of the worthy competitors for flipkart. Especially given the slightly better price, I thought I will trust letsbuy.com and placed an order for an expensive TV and I am now regretting big time.
My order is LSB-522828 for a Samsung 3D TV, it was placed on 22nd(paid by card) and till now I am clueless and helpless on whether the product will arrive or not. This anxiety is the primary enemy of any e-commerce website.
The order status is an unhelpful "In Process" and shipping information "Awaiting status update from delivery service" and these statuses havent changed in the past 7 days.(7 days is their max delivery time indicated on their website - notcommitted mind you)
Their so called 24/7 customer service was closed on Diwali day, never reachable on any evenings. On a working day, a sleepy representative picked up after a long wait and answered saying that I should wait for the status to change and "it will in a few days". Email support was equally bad - The first email didnt evoke any response and the second one got a reply after 3 days, which said the following:

Will update the post with what happens finally - My suspicion and anxiety is growing. I am only hoping that this is because of the festival season overload and not a sinister scheme by letsbuy.com to runaway.
