I had ordered a portable hard disk drive from letsbuy(23rd 12.30AM) and had a pleasant experience with the product being delivered in just the next day(24th). There are quite a few bad comments on mouthshut and was a bit reluctant in ordering the product. But now Ive received my product, I feel better. Im not very sure about the customer support since I hadnt had any problems to contact them.
The only thing that should be addressed is the better site layout especially a tool to screen based on our specification. Screening option is now available for only price and make. More screening options would make the purchase experience more pleasant.
Update on customer support:
I recently ordered for a Sony Vaio laptop from letsbuy. But last minute plan change made me cancel the order. The customer support was helpful in accepting my cancellation, three days after my order and promised to return the money. But I didnt get my money for quite a long period. One day the customer support guys called me and said the payment gateway refused to refund the money and immediately dispatched me a cheque for the required value. I was happy with the way the situation was dealt. But you have to note that I had cancelled the order on 24th Nov 2011 but received my cheque on 23rd Dec 2011. However I trust the customer support now because things got done finally without me taking much action.
I still hold with the horrible website design they have. I also ordered a battery recently and got it delivered on time. After three purchase experience now, still my thumbs are up for letsbuy! Hope they hold on to it.
A personal message to Letsbuy: Please change the way you have designed your website. Lots should be learned from sites like flipkart.
