No Diwali Gift

I was planning to buy an LED TV when I came across the letsbuy site. After a lot of searching around I found that indeed they are offering the cheapest price on net. But this was going to be my first experience with them. So I decided to read reviews about their service.


On mouthshut I found a lot of people have complaints about their delivery service for shipments especially. But I found a few positive feedbacks also. Based on this I decided to take a chance and placer order for an LG LED 26inch Jazz LV3000 Tv. the order number is LSB 485655.I placed the order on last Friday 14/10/2011.  It hasn’t been shipped yet. On the website it is mentioned that the delivery takes  4-7 working days. That is why I bought it from their website. But 5 working days are already gone but still no progress.


I am getting really worried especially because it is a big investment.  While calling the customer care the IVR is always busy, so I am not able to get through any customer care representative. I bought this TV as a diwali gift for my family and I am really hoping that I will get it before diwali. I really don’t know what to do now. Think atleast twice before buying from letsbuy. I am a regular shopper from ebay and never faced such a problem. Infact by using ebay I gained the trust the online shopping can be really good. From zoomin, ferns n petals, excitinglives, lenskart I have done shopping. But never had any issue. The customer care of letsbuy is pathetic when it is supposed be very good because it is online shopping site.


UPDATE


Just now Pawan from Letsbuy team called me. He said he read my review on mouthshut. He said that he is looking into the matters to find out why there is such a delay and will inform me about any updated information. Meanwhile, I saw that there are lot of complaints about letsbuy in consumer complaints forum and there are many people who never received the product nor got the money back. I am praying now that pawan will make sure that I am also not one of them.

I got a mail from Letsbuy that my item has been shipped. Thanks to Pawan. I called up the courier service and they said I am expected to receive it on 25th October. I hope that the shipment contains the TV, the free 4-in-1 universal remote and the Diwali Gift.

I received the shipment from Letsbuy. But as I suspected they didn’t send the 4-in-1 universal remote which was a freebie with the TV. Also, I didn’t receive any diwali gift that they are mentioning on the website. Pawan if you are reading this, again help me please.

I received the 4-in-1 universal remote from Letsbuy which was a freebie with the TV. But didn’t receive the diwali gift. Instead, to my surprise, they sent me a letter in which they have mentioned that they have sent me all the freebies and nothing more is left there to be sent.


Just after the transaction of purchasing the TV, a page was displayed on the Letsbuy site which clearly mentioned that the order contains TV+Universal Remote+Free Diwali Gift. So, why the Diwali gift was not sent?


The manager of Letsbuy had responded to me saying "You deserve only the best service, especially when you take out time to go through our online catalog and hence decide to shop from the same. We have discussed your review with the concerned team and they have processed your *freebie* and the *free assured Diwali Gift* as well". It is still mentioned on the website.  I got the freebie alright. But where is the diwali gift?
