Avoid LetsBuy - Horrible Service and Customer Care

The intend of the review is to improve letsbuy services since now it has to compete with ecommerce giants like amazon. I am writing this review purely from a customer perspective depending upon the personal experience & hope that letsbuy would take it up in a positive way.


Well well well the ecommerce business in India is growing and letsbuy.com is another addition to it. I have used many websites in India for online shopping https://rediff.com, https://ebay.in, https://theitdepot.com, https://babyoye.com, https://firstcry.com, https://kbazaar.in and a lot of others. I would rate Letsbuy at the bottom of all these websites. The reason of choosing letsbuy was a few of my friends happen to be working there and the website looked ok. But all in all the experience was not good. Primary because of the reasons below:-




  1. Unresponsive Customer Care - Write a query mail to customer care and you would get a response after 4 days. This is the minimum turnaround time. Sometimes it becomes a week.




  2. Misleading Product Descriptions - I ordered a monitor after seeing the item description in which the color of the monitor was mentioned as "BLACK" clearly. The only reason for ordering this monitor was due to the color of the monitor. But when I reminded customer care before order delivery that the delivered monitor should be of black color then they replied that they cannot guarantee the color of the product would match the one with the item description of the website. It is surprising. Isn’t it.

  1. Misleading Service Level Agreement - When I ordered the product, the delivery time was displayed as 4-7 days but I made the order on 17th Jan 2012 and got the product on 2 Feb 2012. I don’t know which calender would count them as 7 days.
