My son is one of those boys who really do like to get outside and play really hard. And by doing so he can certainly get dirty! Now the rules are that you do not play in your school clothes because they are for school. My son has play clothes that he is allowed to play in. But, being the boy that he is, he is rather forgetful of this rule, which is typical! And it’s a good thing that there is a blue jean on the market that can withstand my son’s antics of play.
It really is a good thing for a mother to know that there are some jeans out there that are made to hold up play after play and wash after wash! And for my son, this means that he lives another day! Lol!
Oh, the torments of a mother who must wash those nasty, dirty, played really hard in jeans of her son! But, for her peace of mind there is a brand or two out there that withstand this type of abuse. One of those brands is Levis®!
The Jean In Question
Certainly “Quality Never Goes Out Of Style” with Levis® 569™ Red Tab™ Loose Straight Jeans. A loose fit with a straight leg. I believe made just for my son! And being 100% cotton, this jean is made to hold up wash after wash and year after year. A mothers dream come true in finding clothing for her active, playful son.
The colors available for this jean are “Rinse” (Blue) and “Black Yarn Dye” (Black).
Sizes available make me a happy camper because my son is in that “in between” size, where the regular size 8 is to big, but the 8 slim fits perfectly. The sizes are as follows:
size 8 9 10 11 12 14
leg/waist 24 24.5 25 25.5 26 27
in seam 22 23.5 25 25.5 26.5 27
slim waist 22 22.5 23 23.5 24 25
in seam 22 23.5 25 25.5 26.5 27
This chart being for boys size 8 to 14. (Girls sizes also available. See store/online for more details.)
And I know that as the years go by I will always be able to find a Levis® jean to fit my son. And who knows maybe one day he will buy them for himself! One can only hope!
One of the best things about the 569™ Red Tab™ jean is that they really last wash after wash and they still look great! And the grass stains that my son manages to get on the knees, well those grass stains wash out! Of course some times I may have to use a little help with a cleaning spray, but not often! The mud! Yes the mud. It washes right out as well. They always look like new jeans after washing!
The cost of these jeans is normally around 25.00, but you can find them on sale for around 20.00, depending on where you shop.

How I Feel
Certainly as with any parent I want a jean that will hold up! And I have found that jean with Levis™! My son is durable to the bone while playing and dirty should have been his middle name! And his jeans are more durable! They wash up well as I stated already and they make my life easier.
Levi Strauss is a name that I have trusted for years. When my girls were younger this is also the jean we bought for them. However, now they buy different things as will my son one day. But right now while I can help him make that choice this is the brand we go with the most! In my opinion the quality of the jean speaks for itself.
Ironing? No way! It’s not necessary with this jean. However, there are some people who must have that crease in a jean and that’s okay as well. But not in this household. Ironing is for the birds in my opinion (I always look for clothes that don’t have to be ironed, but mind you I do know how to use an iron and do so from time to time, but only when necessary!) and it’s not one of my qualifications in life. And thank goodness it was not a requirement of marriage by my husband for we would not be married today!
The cost can be costly, but when I find them on sale of course it’s better. But, the fact of the matter is, the cost is worth it because the jean holds up year after year. And I do mean year after year. My son’s jeans are always hand me downs to someone else in the family or a church family, and those jeans are still in tact!
I hope that this has helped in some kind of way.
God Bless!
