The LG A-One Gold refrigerator is a compact one ideally suited for a small family. Though its not frost-free, its performance is very good. Its less noisy, cools faster and is spacious. The refrigerator has three adjustable racks, a vegetable storage shelf, a chiller tray and a freezer. However the refrigerator comes with only one ice-tray which I feel is insufficient. There are several storage provisions in the door, where one can conveniently keep things ranging from eggs to water bottles or sauce/juice bottles.
The de-frosting option is convenient one-touch button system. De-frosting needs to be done once in every three-four days to prevent excessive ice-formation that not only reduces cooling capacity, but also increases the power consumption. The water from the freezer gets drained into a container placed above the compressor. The water usually evaporates on its own due to the heat from the compressor. However in rainy season when the humidity is high, it may not evaporate quickly. The water can be drained by manually removing the tray.
The refrigerator comes in a variety of metallic and non-metallic colours. It has a very decent finish and appearance.
