Faulty AC and bad response

I have made biggest mistake by buying a LG air conditioner Last year from LG . After initial installation it just worked fine for couple of weeks and then started making some strange noise and within a week the noise level touched sky high. Even a room cooler would me much quieter then LG AC.


I logged several complaints and every time there engineer used to do temp fixes by applying tapes, paper , thermocol etc. to the unit but issue was never resolved then after several complaints and escalations they replaced the internal fan unit  and again fixed it temporarily.


Now after 7 months or so the unit stopped cooling and when I called up there engineer they said that due to loose valve , all the gas has leaked out and he again did some temp fix to it by applying tape and cloth to outdoor unit. which didn’t last too long and leaked in with in one months time.


By this time I had logged more then 13 complaints to there call center and was still searching for the fix to my issue. I stopped using AC as by this time winter had started. now when I turned it on this summer it again failed and had to log a complaint but the problem this time I had was that now my product was not in warranty and then charged heavily for each visit. I paid LG guy 3500 for this years visit and he again did some temp fix which lasted for 20 odd days.


i again logged a complaint and this time they asked for 2500 more to replace the valve which should have been replaced in last year itself when I had logged the complaint for this issue. since mar till date this year I have logged more then 7 complaints and still facing the same issue. AC still makes huge noise and gas leaks every 20-30 days due to some mechanical fault.


I m seriously disappointed by the service I have got and have decided not to buy any LG product in future as I same thing with my Microwave oven  and LCD as well.


More then 20 tickets for a AC that too in a span of just 1.5 year have been logged but still no fix to issue. LG just sells faulty products and then earns by repairing them and asks for hefty amount for each visit I have spent more then 7000 on this AC in last 1.5 years.


I have logged a complaint in consumer forum well and seeking justice for  my hard earned money. I will make sure LG pays for my time and harassment time.
