I had bought this DVD player in May 2005. A simple and compact product indeed, but has some flaws. It is not recognizing all kinds of DVDs/CDs and hence facing difficulties in playing some CDs.
When the player is in operation and suddenly when the power supply gets disconnected and when power comes back, the player starts operation on its own whereas ideally it should come back to standby mode only. This is very risky as if we go out of the house when the power supply has got disconnected and if the power supply is restored when we are out of the house, the player would be playing on its own !!!! This feature should have been handled properly in this product.
The on/off switch is at the back of the DVD player and hence very difficult to operate.
On the whole a very ordinary product. from a great electronics manufacturer. so please do think twice before buying this player.
