I bought this LG DVD about two months back. The features seem to be phenominal and revolutionary.
It accepts any type CDs and DVDs, written in +R , -R or any mode. I think it is very delightful feature to have. When my friends are worried that their DVD player does not accept some of the CDs and DVDs, I am feeling very pride to have this DVD player. It also accepts divx, dvdrw, mp3, jpeg and what not.
The player offers a sleeker and more compact form factor than conventional "rack-mount" style players. This is almost comparable in size to the really compact Videocon we reviewed earlier. The player is very light, so you can keep it on top of your TV or any other equipment (like your amplifier) without causing any damage to either.
The most interesting thing about this player is the fact that it has a four-way navigation pad on the main unit itself, in addition to the regular play/pause/stop etc controls. Having this four-way navigation pad means you can actually use the DVD menus fully if you lose the remote. In other players, youre stuck with just play or prev/next - you may be able to get through the movie, but you cant access special features.
The listing of available files of songs or movies is very pleasant and very user-friendly menus.
The multi-purpose remote for TV as well, is also comfort for us. It is also very slim in look and easy to access.
The price is also very economy when compared to the features provided. If you want to buy a DVD player for less price, then without having second thought, just go for it.
Over all, I recommend to everyone that it is good buy.
