Bought a new GSM mobile - LG G1800. It closely resembles a Sony Ericsson, especially the side views. In fact I’ve had many comments like ’Oh you bought a Sony Ericsson!’...I fell for the price and the features it offered. The one I have is a black one, but now I realize the silver was better. It has a glossy finish and the black ’coating’ is prone to scratches and reveal white color, especially at the corners. The features are quite good, but later realized that the advertised 262k color display is just a gimmick. In reality it is capable of only 65k colours and the grain size is pretty sore. Its a STN LCD and comes no where near the Samsung color screens (I think they are TFTs). The response time is pretty large and produces noticeable ghosting.Sound quality is good. The MP3 playback is also very good.Pros: * Good voice quality * Shared flash drive (Use as a 60MB pen drive) * Good loud speaker. * MP3 Playback * Sound recorder * Price (5.9K), 2yrs warranty, Free Handsfree kit, Datacable, Powered Loud speakers.Cons: * Slippery keypad - not great for messaging * Crashes while opening some SMS’s from Nokia. * Brick shape (The ad says color bar?) * Too glossy finish -easily get dusty and dirty, screen tends to get scratches soon. (For black model) * LCD not bright in sun * Not solid as a Nokia. * Not able to reproduce the colours correctly from downloaded pictures
