My refrigerator had stopped cooling in the mid of Apr 2014( that is exactly 2 years from DoP).
When we bought the fridge, LG insisted on taking a 5 year AMC, (15000 Rs) which I then thought was unnecessary, but now it was very useful as the compressor was replaced free of cost.
Looks like LG was aware of the problems that will arise and hence they insisted on AMC.
If only, we hadnt taken the AMC I would have had to shell out another 8000K for the repair cost.
After 4 technicians visiting my house to understand what is the problem and my continuous followup and escalating with the CS manager, they finally changed the compressor after 2 weeks.
3. Its not even one month since the compressor was replaced, the cooling problem is back again with the freezer. I placed some icecreams in the freezer and they melted. The ice cubes tray is still filled with water even after 12 hours of freezing.
Conclusion:
Product not at all recommended as had problems in the first month and 2 years of purchase.
Very bad customer service by LG. To buy time, they keep sending different technicians and openly accept that the technicians are not skilled enough.
