I have recently purchased LG Home theatre system model HT303SU. After going through Sony, Samsung and Philips I found this model a better choice because of great features and sound quality for the price of Rs.8000 ie.160 $. This model has some great features such as DTS out, 5.1 channel surround sound with VSM(visual surround matrix), USB MP3 recording, USB pen drive playing MP3, Video and photos, TV compatibility ie. you can operate TV through the same remote, DVD and DivX files compatibility, Dolby Prologic II music, Different movie modes etc.
You can set your 5.1 channel speakers with different volume according to the distance. It has aux in for any external music device. VSM gives you 3D sound. It has a selection of multichannel sound for virtual 10.1 ch experience. It has AM/FM tuner with 50 station preset memory.
You can record songs from a disc to USB pen drive directly in MP3 format. This eliminates need of computer to do that. You can have 8 equalizer settings with auto EQ which will be adjusted automatically by the player according to music input. It has mic input with echo and mic vol. adjustment. It has Dynamic Range Control for clear sound in low volume for Dolby digital music. Even you can play Karaoke DVDs. It offers parental control ie. you can lock DVDs with password so that childer do not watch. You can even listen to music during slide show if the disc contains both the type of files. It has time search for DVD and DivX and last scene memory for recall. I have used all these functions successfully and music quality is superb. I could control my TV also with the same remote. It has 300W rms out put which is good enough for a room of 250 sq.ft. It has component out and progressive scan out for high quality video. Its a great product with good features for the given price.
